Port Gentil is the second largest city in Gabon. Located southwest of Libreville, it was named after Emile Gentil.

The President of the present republic is His Excellency Mr. Ali BONGO ONDIMBA. The country's capital is Libreville, but other major cities are present in the country such as Franceville or Lambaréné.

Neighboring Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon, it is a forest country where the fauna and flora are still well preserved. Formerly involved in the triangular trade and then French colony, Gabon has been independent since 1960.
